Submit your work - Autumn Issue - Call closes 31st August 2026
In time we’d like to pay, but for now we can only offer that warm fuzzy feeling of seeing your material published in an online journal. We do not at this time plan to publish in print.
What we’re looking for:
Essay/Memoir. 1,500-3,000 words. Tell us a great story, and tell us why it’s important.
Fiction. 1,500 - 3,000 words. We’re looking for good solid lit fiction that both tells a story and elucidates. The why is as important as the what, though the former can be left unsaid.
Artwork. Cartoon pieces that get at the truth.
Our first issue will be 8 - 12 pieces plus 3-5 cartoons.

Things to note:
Original human authored and unpublished work only, of between 1,500 - 3,000 words excluding title.
Only send us Word documents (or JPGs for cartoons) - anything else will not be read.
No cover letter required, but tell us in the message what your piece is about.
We accept simultaneous submissions, but let us know as soon as something is accepted elsewhere. Please wait until you receive a response for your submission before submitting again.
Double-space your lines and use a standard font.
Submissions filed by professional coordinating services will not be considered, nor will submissions we’ve already rejected in the past.
We are unable to provide monetary compensation for accepted submissions at this time. We are a team of volunteers, and all funds that we raise go towards administrative costs of running the magazine.
Subject to the above, all submissions will be read and we aim to respond within 90 days.
